Another Sunday beach day in Sydney followed by a cool week

Another Sunday beach day in Sydney followed by a cool week
As a series of strong cold fronts continue to pummel Victoria and Tasmania on Sunday, Sydneysiders and coastal residents across eastern NSW are enjoying a perfect beach day. The systems currently leading to showers over southern states and potentially damaging wind gusts over parts of southern Victoria are forcing a warm airmass over the eastern seaboard, leading to a partly cloudy day very suited to a trip to the beach. Although it won't be as hot as it was a week ago, when temperatures soared to 38 degrees at Observation Hill under similar synoptic conditions on Sunday 18th March, temperatures are still expected to reach the low to mid 30s today across Greater Sydney. The cool change bringing showers with it is expected to arrive late this evening into early Monday morning, but cloud cover will still help to lead to a relatively warm night. Cold air in the wake of the front will help to lead to a much colder night into early Tuesday 27th, and daytime temperatures during the week are expected to remain below 30 degrees.
