Adelaide's coldest August fortnight in over a decade
Brett Dutschke

Adelaide is going through its coldest two-week period in August in more than 10 years, according to weatherzone.com.au.
So far this month the average maximum temperature has been less than 14 degrees, almost three degrees colder than the long-term August average of 16.6.
If it stays below 16 degrees until Thursday, this will be Adelaide's coldest August fortnight since 1994, when the average maximum was 13.9. It is likely to remain colder than 15 degrees until at least Sunday.
This August has also been fairly wet so far, with rain falling each day in the city. Only another 10 millimetres of rain is needed this month for Adelaide to reach the August average of 68mm, but another 60mm is needed to achieve the winter average of 226mm.
