Adelaide cool, but wait for rain continues

Sunday November 23, 2008 - 11:36 EDT

The weather bureau says Adelaide is experiencing colder than average temperatures, but much-needed rain is not expected until next week.

Senior forecaster Tom Boeck says today's expected top of 21 degrees Celsius is well below the November average which is in the mid-20s.

He says temperatures should warm up, with the chance of a light shower on Tuesday and Thursday.

"We do have a trough of low pressure extending from the west, and that could give us one or two showers," he said.

"Temperatures [are] gradually starting to rise. After 21 degrees for Sunday, 24 for Monday and then 26 for Tuesday."
