A thundery drenching for NSW
Sam Terry

Yesterday and overnight, rain and thunderstorms pushed through New South Wales, bringing heavy falls to a number of places and potential flash flooding.
The heaviest falls received across the state were along the ranges and a little further west, with many totals between 25 and 50 millimetres. Gunnedah picked up 39mm, the wettest day in four months, and the wettest October day in eight years. It was similar for Tamworth, with a total of 41mm to 9am, the wettest October day in eight years as well.
Today, the trough helping to generate the rainfall has been gradually moving through northeast NSW and southeast QLD. It will continue to make its way along the QLD coast tomorrow. This will mean showers and thunderstorms for much of the region, and more storms again across the inland. Some of these storms have the potential to be severe, with flash flooding a good chance.
