Borroloola and Mornington Island.
At 3:30pm CST, Ex-TC Gillian was 40km ESE of Cape Keerweer and was
near stationary over land near the Cape York Peninsula west coast. It is expected to move in a southwest direction before taking a more westward turn across the Gulf of Carpentaria during Wednesday.
GALES are not expected during the next 24 hours but may develop early Thursday as the low redevelops into a tropical cyclone. The system is expected to take a more northerly track later Thursday before weakening on Friday.
